My Take On Denver Dan

Denver Dan is one of the coolest guys anyone will ever get the chance to meet. I consider myself lucky to have such a true and loyal friend. One thing that may go unnoticed is how great he is with his kids. Not only is Dan a friend for life but he is a very loving and dedicated father. A couple of years ago we spent some time on the North Shore of Oahu because Nelson had his reception there. I was able to hook up a duplex for about a week. Dan and his family stayed on one side while Nelson, Sasha, Tani and I stayed on the other. Anyway, his son Jack celebrated his 7th birthday. It had to be one of the coolest birthday’s ever. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it; I was making the Lomi Salmon with my Dad for Nelson’s reception. But from what I hear, it could not have been more perfect.

After I finally made my move to the mainland from Hawaii and got to actually meet the Sinners So Cal, it was amazing to have met a group of people with the same interests and similar past that I had. But then I started to figure out, in my opinion, that the core of it all was Denver Dan.
